Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of perfumetaster.com (“the Site”), operated by PerfumeTaster LLC. By placing an order or creating an account, you agree to what’s written here. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Site.

1. Who we are

PerfumeTaster is a small US-based decant house. We buy sealed, authentic retail bottles of designer fragrances and hand-pour them into glass atomizer vials. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the brands we decant. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

2. Authenticity

Every decant is poured from a sealed retail bottle purchased through legitimate channels. We never dilute, alter, or substitute. If you ever receive a decant that doesn’t match the original fragrance, email us within 14 days for a free replacement or a full refund.

3. Pricing and availability

• Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax.
• We reserve the right to change prices at any time. Once an order is placed, the price is locked in.
• Stock is finite. If an item sells out between the time you add it to cart and place the order, we’ll email you and either refund that item or swap it for something comparable.
• Pricing typos happen. If we list a fragrance at an obviously wrong price (e.g. $0.99 for a $100 cologne) we may cancel and refund.

4. Orders, payment, and shipping

Payment is processed through Stripe. We never see or store your card. Orders placed before 2pm ET ship the same business day; otherwise next business day. Shipping is USPS First Class with tracking, free on orders $20+.

5. Returns

We don’t accept returns of opened decants for hygiene reasons — but if your order arrives damaged, leaked, or contaminated, email contact@perfumetaster.com within 14 days with a photo and we’ll ship a free replacement or issue a full refund. No questions, no restocking fees.

6. Promo codes

• Only one promo code per order.
• Codes can’t be combined with gift cards unless explicitly stated.
• Codes are non-transferable and have no cash value.
• We can revoke a code at any time if we suspect abuse (e.g. bulk redemption by the same account).

7. Gift cards

Gift cards never expire, can’t be redeemed for cash, and are non-transferable. Lost gift-card codes can’t be replaced if the purchaser’s email isn’t on file.

8. Accounts

If you register an account, you’re responsible for keeping your password safe. We use bcrypt hashing so we can’t see your password, but that also means we can’t recover it — if you forget it, you’ll need to reset it.

One account per person. We may suspend accounts we believe are being used fraudulently (repeated chargebacks, bulk promo-code abuse, etc.).

9. Intellectual property

The Site’s design, editorial content, photography, and code are © PerfumeTaster LLC. You may not reproduce, resell, or scrape—at scale—the content of the Site without written permission.

10. Disclaimers

Fragrances are not tested on animals by us, but we can’t speak for the original brands. Fragrances may cause skin irritation or allergic reactions in sensitive individuals; patch-test a small area first. We’re not liable for personal reactions — if a fragrance doesn’t agree with you, return it under our satisfaction guarantee.

11. Limitation of liability

Our liability for any order is capped at the amount you paid for that order. We’re not liable for indirect or consequential damages (lost wages, embarrassment from wearing a fragrance, etc.).

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Jefferson County, Colorado.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be emailed to registered users at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
